President’s Message
As a descendant of Manongsong under the Gomez clan, I am deeply honored and grateful to have been elected as the first President of the Manongsong Tribe Association. It is a privilege to serve not only as the President but also as the Chairman of the Executive Board and the Board of Representatives. In the early stages of this revived organization, I shall also take on the role of Co-Chairman for the various committees, ensuring that we establish a strong foundation for our collective efforts.
Reviving the legacy of the Manongsong Tribe is a significant task, one that I approach with humility and a deep sense of responsibility. I would like to especially acknowledge the efforts of the Malahay-Campos clan, which has been eagerly working to unite the tribe, with the unwavering support of the Montejar clan, the Gomez clan, the Campos clan, and their descendants, who now carry various family names due to intermarriages. Their dedication to our common cause is a testament to the enduring bonds within our tribe.
Our tribe’s history is a testament to the enduring grace of God, and with your cooperation and support, I am confident that we will achieve our immediate goals. Together, we will strengthen the bonds of our shared heritage, preserve the cultural and historical legacies passed down through generations, and work towards the betterment of all tribe members.
The spirit of unity and bayanihan that has always been a hallmark of our tribe will guide us as we move forward. Thank you for your trust and commitment to our shared vision. Let us work hand in hand, as our ancestors did, to build a brighter future for the Manongsong Tribe.
Dr. Bon Mark Gomez Uy
President & Chairman of the Boards
