+Norberta Campos Malahay was renowned for her exceptional strength. According to the story told by Walter Malahay, the day before Norberta passed away, she had an arm-wrestling match with her grandchildren, including Walter himself. None of them were able to defeat the elderly woman. After their arm-wrestling match, Norberta walked around all the fruit trees near their house, shaking them and saying, “I can no longer eat you.” The next morning, at around 2 a.m., Norberta died while sitting on a commode. The cause of her death was the failure of her saliva glands. She passed away at the age of 125. Her diet consisted of vegetables and fish, but she never ate land animal meat. She drank “sikolate” throughout her life. Walter Malahay also mentioned that Norberta had grown several sets of small teeth. Her lice were described as white and called “kuslad.”
